Let’s start a journey through some of the most famous gardens in the world.

Some are famous for the tradition of the place, they are important from a historical point of view: think of France or England, where the culture of gardens is very ancient.

Others are so because they have become real “collections”, due to the pedoclimatic conditions of the place, which have favored and promoted, stimulated the growth of some species particularly suited to the place, as well as the botanical gardens, which host the alpine flora, or Mediterranean, based on the place where we are.

Still other parks or gardens are famous because they collect and host collections of very different origins from the place in which they are located; they often derive from the curiosity and botanical passion of the owner of the garden, or of the owners who have followed one another over time who had the idea of collecting the largest possible number of different species, or exotic plants, or rare plants. What often happens also in private gardens, is the “stratification” of the vegetation present due to this succession of different owners and their different tastes or preferences in choosing the plants to insert.

Still others are the witness of a style: formal, natural, landscape; we will therefore find inside, some typical garden art forms, such as topiary art, and different design styles: the formal Italian garden, the French formal garden, the natural garden, the picturesque or English landscape garden, the Chinese and Japanese oriental garden, the contemporary garden. Japanese, the zen garden.

Whatever the history and evolution of these gardens, our idea will be to try to describe them, even with images, trying to satisfy the curiosity of those who read us and want to deep this art.
