Vriesea splendens
Flaming Sword, Flaming-sword
Description
An evergreen perennial herbaceous species belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. In the wild, it grows both as a terrestrial plant and as an epiphyte; given its requirements for average temperature and ambient humidity, it is considered a plant suitable for indoor spaces, where it adds a unique design accent with its inflorescence bearing bracts in bright, vibrant colours, as well as with its foliage, which is often characterised by highly decorative horizontal bands.
