Key information

Description

Commonly known as Aralia, it is a medium-sized evergreen shrubby plant with an expansive habit outlined by its broad, palmate-lobed leaves. The high ornamental value is also conferred by the branched panicle-like inflorescences that rise from the foliage and bear white globular flowers.

Widely cultivated as an indoor green plant as well as a garden or terrace plant in temperate climate zones. It does not tolerate direct sunlight, requiring shady areas.
